Tracey Webster - Deputy Chairperson
Tracey is an independent social development consultant who works on leadership and social change issues.
Tracey has recently been appointed as CEO of Virgin Unite, as well as CEO of the Branson Entrepreneurial Centre.
Tracey has a dream to see “The Rise of Africa” - young African leaders standing on a global platform and pioneering creative solutions for the many issues the continent and global community faces. Tracey is an Archbishop Tutu Fellow and committed to profiling the incredible fellows she has journeyed with over the past three years.
Tracey spent 9 years dedicated to the plight of orphaned and vulnerable children. She was a founding member and CEO of the Starfish Greathearts Foundation, South Africa. Under her leadership – Starfish supported 22,000 orphaned and vulnerable children across South Africa with education, health, food and psycho-social support. – she developed implementation plans to reach 75 000 children by 2010. Tracey developed global fundraising strategies, awareness campaigns, TV commercials and documentaries to drive awareness, taking the organization from a lean mean fundraising machine, to positioning it as a development focused organization. She worked with NIRSA and James 1:27 to host a national consultation on orphaned and vulnerable children in 2009 .
Prior to Starfish Tracey worked for Deutsche Bank London and worked in Global Markets in the origination team for commercial paper and eventually as their investor relations specialist.
